Nice to meet you

Roy Thorp Construction started in 1974 as Roy Thorp Trucking. Roy and his son hauled logs all over the Pacific Northwest for many years. In the early 90's, the timber industry was hit hard by the efforts to support the spotted owl population in old growth timber lands. While many companies faced foreclosures and loss of business, our company set out to diversify. We started with the addition of the large excavator and dump trucks clearing land, building roads, etc. Roy was raised on a family farm in Oregon, so he was very versed in building and or modifying structures and the need to build it correctly the first time. As customer requests and needs for broader services rose, so did the services provided by our company. The company became Roy Thorp Construction in 1993 to include all of our services from logging to road building, to home additions and new home builds, to patios, decks, and garages and many more.

Roy soon after attended training and became a certified Washington State manufactured home installer to add to our company's growing list of services offered.

In 2003, when Roy's grandson was born, his daughter Rhonda joined the company to help with bidding preparation, office administration, and any other duties to assist Roy that may be required.

Our company is completely family owned and operated. We feel it is very important to use local vendors whenever possible to support the communities we live and work in. Roy has been an avid supporter of his grand daughter's select fastpitch team since 2011 and loves to watch her team play.

Roy personally works with all our customers on the specifications of their project to verify accuracy for the plan. He brings more than 40 years as a business owner and a lifetime of practical application knowledge to assist the customer to achieve a quality completed project. We look forward to working with you on your next project.. big or small.
